Home Town
I am from Bangladesh, and I was born and bred in Rajshahi. I lived there for 20 odd years before moving to the capital city, Dhaka. Rajshahi is a significant city with approximately 1 million people, and most of them are involved in local businesses. Some work as teachers, doctors, engineers, and more. Locals enjoy shopping and dining out at numerous restaurants. They are welcoming and friendly.
Rajshahi is renowned for its mango fruits and silk cloths. Tourists flock to see prominent landmarks such as the Padma River, Barandhra Research Museum, Rajshahi University, historical buildings, zoo, and parks. Over the last couple of decades, the city has undergone massive changes, especially in infrastructure and public places. Citizens are delighted to see eye-catching road-lightings and new glass buildings.
I have a deep affection for this city and lived in Hetemhan, which is close to Rajshahi Medical College. This area is neat, clean, and income-friendly, making it easy to establish a new business or explore job opportunities. In the past couple of decades, numerous industries have been built in the countryside.
I also have future plans to return to Rajshahi. I envision living there after 20 years for the rest of my life.
